This picture is of heartwood. Heartwood is the center wood of the tree trunk. It is the older more mature wood that is usually a darker color.
This picture is of a frond. A frond is a leaf that is usually made up of many different divisions.
This is an example of a pollinator. Pollinators, like this ant, transport pollen from one plant to another.
This picture is an example of a plant's tendril. Tendrils are used for plants to climb with and used for attachment and support.


This is an example of a herbaceous stem. Just like the woody stem, these stems support the plant and carry the nutrients it needs throughout it. A herbaceous stem differs from a woody one in that a herbaceous stem is green and flexible instead of hard.
This is an example of a woody stem. Stems have many functions that include carrying nutrients through out the plant and holding up the plant structures. Woody stems are hard and made up of wood and bark.
This is a picture of the stigma and style of a plant. The stigma and style of a plant are apart of the flowers reproductive system. The stigma is the part of the flower that is receptive to pollen and the style connects the stigma to the ovary.
